Treat Age Spots and Redness
What is Lumecca?
Lumecca is an innovative treatment that uses a potent dose of IPL, or intense pulse light treatment – to get rid of spots or lesions that may be caused by vascular conditions. It is predominantly used to improve an uneven skin tone. Photo-Thermolysis is administered to deliver the skin-clarifying photofacial. It’s truly one of the most effective laser skin resurfacing procedures out there, and may be one of the St. Louis Skin Solutions you’ve been looking for!
What Are The Main Advantages of Lumecca?
- Some of the top plus-sides of this skin treatment option include:
- Diminishes age spots and damage caused by sun exposure
- Reduces vein diseases, birthmarks, and superficial veins
- Treats and corrects spots caused by Rosacea
- Erases freckles and other hyperpigmentation
Where Can Lumecca Be Applied?
Lumecca is safe for use all over the body, including the face, arms, legs, neck – and other regions with spots, freckles, lesions, marks, or uneven skin tone.
What Special Preparations Are Needed For Lumecca?
Dr. Wright recommends staying away from tanning and over-exposure to the sun, at least 30 days ahead of Lumecca.
What Happens During Lumecca?
To get a brighter picture of what to expect, patients will see what looks like a flash on the targeted area – similar to a camera’s flash. The sensation on the selected area will like you’re slightly pulling an elastic against the skin.
After the technique, patients may feel redness, which diminishes within an hour. Darkening of spots is fairly common within a day or two, however these spots begin to shed within a week. If vascular spots are being targeted, these lighten after treatment, and then even-out within days.
How Much Lumecca Do I Need?
If uneven skin is a concern, then one session of Lumecca red light therapy can provide significant results. Depending on the extent of damaged skin, spot levels, and other variables, multiple sessions may be required. A pre-evaluation will provide better prognosis on how many repeat sessions are required, if any.
When Will I See Better Skin?
Typically, the skin tone evens after a few days, and improvements will continue over the course of 14 days. Spider veins usually diminish within this time period also. With each new session, better results are predicted.
